Assistance programs for housing communities and cooperatives in the field of renewable energy installations and increasing energy efficiency
1- Clean Air Program (NFOŚiGW)
Scope: Co-financing of energy modernization of buildings, including installation of photovoltaic systems, heat pumps and thermal modernization.
Form of support: Grants at the level of up to 50% of eligible costs and preferential loans. Additionally, there is a possibility of financing energy storage facilities.
Institution: National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), Provincial Funds for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚiGW).
Goal: Reduction of pollutant emissions by improving the energy efficiency of multi-family buildings.
2- My Electricity Programme (NFOŚiGW)
Scope: Support for photovoltaic installations, energy storage systems, energy management systems and electric vehicle charging installations.
Form of support: Subsidy up to 50% installation costs (maximum PLN 6,000 for photovoltaics and additional funds for energy storage).
Institution: NFOŚiGW.
Goal: Promoting the development of renewable energy micro-installations in multi-family buildings.
3-Stop Smog Program
Scope: Support for housing communities and cooperatives in replacing old heat sources with ecological systems and installing renewable energy sources (photovoltaics, heat pumps).
Form of support: Grants up to 100% of eligible costs (depending on local programs).
Institution: NFOŚiGW in cooperation with local governments.
Goal: Reducing smog by modernizing heating and energy installations in multi-family buildings.
4- Ecological credit (BGK)
Scope: Financing of renewable energy investments and thermal modernization in multi-family buildings. Includes photovoltaic installations, energy storage and modernization of heating systems.
Form of support: Ecological credit with preferential terms, with the possibility of using programs such as Mój Prąd.
Institution: National Economy Bank (BGK).
Goal: Facilitating access to financing for investments related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
5- Thermal Modernisation and Renovation Fund (BGK)
Scope: Funding for thermal modernization and RES installations in multi-family buildings. Includes modernization of heating systems, photovoltaics, and heat pumps.
Form of support: Thermal modernisation bonus covering PLN 20% of investment costs (or more in the case of renewable energy sources), thermal modernisation loans.
Institution: National Economy Bank (BGK).
Goal: Increasing the energy efficiency of multi-family buildings, reducing energy costs and emissions.
6-My Wind Farm Program
Scope: Co-financing of installation of small wind farms with a capacity of up to 20 kW and energy storage facilities,
Form of support: Subsidy of up to 50% of eligible costs, maximum PLN 30,000 for installation and PLN 17,000 for energy storage.
Institution: NFOŚiGW, WFOŚiGW.
Goal: Increasing the use of wind energy in households as an alternative to photovoltaics.
Institutions and organizations conducting recruitment:
1. National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) – runs programmes such as “Clean Air”, “Mój Prąd” and “Stop Smog”, supporting energy modernisation and renewable energy sources in multi-family buildings.
2. Provincial Funds for Environmental Protection and Water Management (WFOŚiGW) – regional units of the NFOŚiGW, responsible for the implementation of programmes at the provincial level.
3. Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) – offers ecological loans and thermal modernization bonuses under the Thermal Modernization and Renovation Fund.
4. Local governments – implement local programmes supporting renewable energy sources and energy modernisation in multi-family buildings, in cooperation with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
